Hello from your local Bloomington Minnesota SD50 Republicans
Come to the Bloomington Caucus 2022 February 1, 2022 at Jefferson High School registration at 6pm and starts at 7. You will meet in rooms of your neighbors who vote at your local precinct and voice input on the future of the party platform, vote on Convention delegates and straw poll on candidates. This is also a great place to meet your neighbors and often meet candidates for congress and people passionate for local causes. This is your fantastic opportunity in history to be a voice for your community along with your neighbors.
What is a Caucus?
Watch this video link about the Caucus (This speaks of a Presidential Straw Poll, we will be having a straw poll for candidate for governor): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ojEpVcfE_D0
Date: Caucus – February 1, 2022
Bloomington Precincts: Jefferson High School
Richfield Precincts: Richfield High School
Time: 6:15PM Registration and the Caucus will promptly start at 7pm so don’t be late!
Now your caucus doesn’t run itself. Two People are needed to help run your precinct meeting room. Having people to help ahead of time helps make the meeting run smoothly and take less time and allows for more time for discussion. This call is about finding people in each precinct and giving them tools they need to run a smooth meeting and ready to:
1) convene the caucus room (Convener runs the meeting in the precinct)
2) be a recording secretary. (Secretary fills out paperwork for straw poll, delegates and voting)
This is also about encouraging as many people as one can reach, to attend the Caucus at Jefferson High School.
Business that needs to be done at Caucus:
Review and discuss any changes to the MNGOP constitution.
Suggest platform ideas for the state races endorsed candidates
Select delegates to the SD 50 Convention
Listen to visiting candidates
Vote on a straw poll for govenor
